Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information DevToolHub collects and how it is used. The short version: the tools themselves collect nothing, because every tool runs in your browser. Third-party services used to operate the site (hosting, advertising) are described below.

What the tools collect

Nothing. Text you paste into a tool, files you load, and options you select are processed in your browser's memory and are never transmitted to us or to any server. When you close or reload the page, that data is gone. There are no accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing personal to store.

Cookies and local storage

We use two kinds of browser storage:

  • Essential storage — your cookie consent choice and your interface preferences are stored in local storage so we do not have to ask you again on every visit. This is strictly necessary and cannot be disabled while the consent system exists.
  • Advertising cookies — only set if you accept the cookie banner. Our advertising partner may use cookies to show ads and measure their effectiveness. If you decline, advertising still loads in a limited, non-personalised form; tracking cookies are not set.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or clear site data in your browser to reset everything.

Advertising and analytics

When you consent, we show advertising (for example Google AdSense) to keep the tools free. Advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies for measurement and, with your consent, personalisation, governed by their own privacy policies. Without consent, we do not load personalised advertising. We may also place affiliate links, clearly marked; they cost you nothing and never influence which tools we build.

Web server logs

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes request logs for security and abuse prevention: IP address, user agent, and the pages requested. We do not use these logs to build user profiles, and we do not attempt to identify visitors.

Children

DevToolHub is a developer tooling site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Because we hold almost no data, there is almost nothing to export or delete: your tool inputs never reach us. If you have consented to advertising cookies, withdrawing consent (via the footer link) stops future personalised advertising. Residents of the EEA, UK, and other jurisdictions with statutory privacy rights may contact us to exercise those rights; where our partners hold data, we will forward your request.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, show a notice on the home page.
